Commercial Category Winner: From Left: Ken Clark from Thermal Resource Sales (Bosch FHP Sales Representative), David Benham from PEPCO Energy Services, Arlington, VA, and Chilton Stewart, Bosch FHP Business Manager.

For whole house or commercial building hot water on demand, Bosch Thermotechnology offers its wall-mountable Tronic 5000C and 6000C electric water heaters in kW input models WH17 (Tronic 6000C), WH27 (Tronic 6000C) and WH36 (Tronic 5000C).

These compact and lightweight units deliver 97 percent thermal efficiency with minimal standby loss and have modulating elements that help ensure a constant GPM output temperature for hot water comfort. They also come with a filter screen on the units’ inlet to provide enhanced scale resistance buildup over time.

Tronic C models require hard wiring through double-pole breakers in the breaker box and require varying amperage service (WH17 80 amps –WH27 120 amps – WH36 180 amps of electricity).

For colder climate areas in North America where the average ground water temperature is less than 60 degrees F, the Tronic 6000C WH17 is recommended for point-of-use applications only. Tronic 6000C WH27 and Tronic 5000C WH36 models may be suitable for the whole house use.

All three Tronic 5000C and 6000C models come with a 5-year limited warranty on the heating modules and a 2-year limited warranty on other component parts.
