This year, 237 Farnsworth Wholesale Company employees, customers and vendors converged at the Biltmore Country Club for the Annual FWC Golf Classic 2017. Farnsworth, an Arizona based plumbing supply company, raised $10,000, which was donated to Special Olympics Arizona and the Pat Tillman Foundation, each receiving a donation of $5,000.
“Our annual golf tournament is great fun for our associates and partners, and to be able to give back to two local organizations this year is a great honor for us,” said Drew Roberts, General Manager of Farnsworth. “We are proud to contribute to Special Olympics Arizona and the Pat Tillman Foundation and look forward to continuing to make an impact in our community each year.”
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Founded in 2004, the Pat Tillman Foundation invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships – building a diverse community of leaders committed to service for others.
