Frank Bachhuber, who has spent 32 years as salesman and purchasing agent for Control Supply Corp., Copiague, N.Y., could use the industry’s help following the tragic death of his son-in-law.
James Larson, 36, had just spent 15 months in a hospital recuperating from complications following a heart transplant and was finally well enough to go to a rehab center. Larson was killed April 20 after the ambulance he was being transported in crashed into an underpass on the Long Island Southern State Highway.
The accident also killed the ambulance’s driver.
Larson left behind a daughter, Autumn, 7, who lives with Bachhuber, along with her mother, Kim.
Control Supply has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help Autumn and her mother.
