Porter Pipe & Supply expanded its reach in the Midwest with a grand opening of a new branch in Milwaukee, on August 7, 2023. Located at 1820 South Kinnickinnic Road, just a short drive from the city center, Porter Pipe’s new branch will be managed by Matthew Porter — keeping the family-run legacy going strong.

“It has been a goal of mine for years to be a branch manager one day. It is a position that carries the responsibility for the performance of the location, responsibility for the team's safety and morale, and responsibility to make sure customers are happy," Porter said. "I believe my experience has given me the tools needed to build a strong, well-run branch that embodies all the unique characteristics that make Porter Pipe such a great place to work and do business with."

As a Porter, the world of plumbing and HVACR supplies is nothing new to Matthew. Since 2009, he has been working with the company — gaining experience across various teams to build up his knowledge throughout the full business. From painter to stocker to counter sales to manager, Matthew’s career has been strengthened by his passion for the business and his experience working alongside the team.

“It is amazing to think back through the years and reflect on all the changes and innovations I had the opportunity to be a part of in my career at Porter Pipe," Porter said. "Going into a branch manager position will bring new challenges and present many opportunities to grow professionally and continue improving our operations on a new front.”
