R.T. Moore Merges with BRS Mechanical.jpg

R.T. Moore – a full-service mechanical contractor providing commercial and residential plumbing, HVAC, engineering, and design services – has announced its agreement to merge with BRS Mechanical in Tipton, Indiana. This is a historic event for the family-owned and operated company, marking the first time it has grown through acquisition since its founding in 1955.

R.T. Moore has expanded organically into markets in Indiana, Ohio and Florida over the past 67 years. Its acquisition of BRS Mechanical offers a number of key benefits, including a new location on the north side of Indianapolis that will allow R.T. Moore to expand its presence in the area, and serve more customers. R.T. Moore will also gain a skilled workforce with experience and training in the industry.

The decision to bring BRS Mechanical under the R.T. Moore umbrella was cemented by the strong similarities between the companies, said Doug Moore, CEO of R.T. Moore.

"We're both multi-generation family-owned and operated companies that share the same values and culture – we're people who are passionate about building and focused on quality," he explained. "We're excited to bring BRS' talent to R.T. Moore, and expand our buying power, market share, and footprint."

BRS President Timothy Shroeder echoed this excitement. "I've always respected Doug Moore and what RT Moore has accomplished over the years. And I want us to be part of it," he added.

The companies expect the merger to be final by Sept. 30, 2022.
